I have severe allergies, especially to dog and cat dander and odors. Perfumes and hair spray are also torture to me. One of the things that I stress to my clients is the importance of fresh smelling rooms in the homes they are attempting to sell. I often educate them on how we are going to eliminate these smells (odors) without using perfumes and spray products. I go to a “green web site” and come up with some simple solutions such as, sprinkling baking soda on carpets before vacuuming, and cleaning windows using vinegar and water, rather than utilizing strong smelling chemicals.
It’s a win win situation, I can be in the house to do my job and prospective home buyers are treated to a nice smelling chemical free home.
